Korbit, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, today announced it will begin direct Litecoin (LTC) trading support for the Korean won starting on Wednesday, April 18th. LTC user withdrawal has been suspended from April 17th to April 19th for new Litecoin wallet integration.
Deposits for LTC have already been made available as of Tuesday, April 17th, and transactions will be available from Wednesday, April 18th, with LTC withdrawal available again starting on Thursday, April 19th.
Litecoin was previously only available against other cryptocurrencies.
Korbit Contest
Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin, is sponsoring a one-week competition to commence Korbit’s direct support and will be giving away LTC to selected members. The event will last from April 18th, 2018, until April 24th, 2018.
Korbit and Lee will rank and reward the top 1 through 6 in LTC transaction value during this period and provide the following rewards:
- 1st place: 50 LTC
- 2nd place: 25 LTC
- Third place: 10 LTC
- 4-6 place: 5 LTC for each
Payment will be completed by Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
