Bison Trails, a blockchain infrastructure platform-as-a-service company, announced today it has launched support for Crypto.org Chain, a Tendermint-based open-source and permissionless blockchain launched from crypto services company, Crypto.com. This follows the success of the Crossfire testnet for Crypto.org, which has processed 275 million transactions during its beta run.
Crypto.com was one of the first cryptocurrency companies to issue international payment card and information security quality assurance standards. The company has a number of crypto-asset products including a fiat-to-crypto exchange, payment solutions, and a growing set of DeFi offerings.
Bison Trails + Crypto.org Chain
The Crypto.org Chain will initially be supported by Crypto.com Pay, the company’s mobile payment solution. Bison Trails will provide reliable validator node and full node infrastructure to optimize validation and governance participation on the Crypto.org Chain.
Bison Trails will support the Crypto.org Chain mainnet with Participate Clusters, Query & Transact Clusters, and Seed nodes. Participate Clusters will enable users to run validators securely. Query & Transact clusters will enable enterprises to build mission-critical applications on Crypto.org Chain. Seed nodes, which are designed to support the network’s stability in its first year of operation, will provide new nodes with a list of peers to connect to. This latest initiative will allow new users to have a more seamless experience, and help the network remain secure and decentralized.
“Crypto.com has been growing and evolving since the launch of the first-ever crypto-backed Visa card in 2018,” said Joe Lallouz, CEO of Bison Trails. “Having supported the Crypto.org Chain through the Crossfire testnet, we are excited to continue this collaboration and support their next phase of evolution. By providing the expertise and infrastructure, we are excited to make participation more accessible for all.”
The Crypto.org Chain, which has been built with the Cosmos software development kit (SDK), is designed to enable increased flexibility, control, and scale to power seamless transactions for users. Following the recent Stargate upgrade in the Cosmos ecosystem, it will become interoperable with other Tendermint chains in the future.
“Bison Trails has been an invaluable partner to us through the launch of the Crypto.org Chain, supporting us from testnet to mainnet with deep technical insight and reliable infrastructure,” said Kris Marszalek, CEO of Crypto.com. “This is a pivotal moment in our company that brings us closer to our vision of making crypto assets and transactions accessible to everyone. We look forward to continuing to work with Bison Trails.”
