Gilded, a bitcoin and digital asset based finance platform, announced today that it has been selected for an accounting-focused startup accelerator sponsored by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants and CPA.com
Founded in 2017 to promote innovation and emerging technologies in the accounting profession, the accelerator is highly competitive. Gilded is one of four companies to earn a spot in the 2020 cohort. We’re grateful to the AICPA and CPA.com for the opportunity to work alongside them to make blockchain technology accessible to accountants. This program is the perfect way for us to better understand the diverse body of AICPA members and the businesses they represent.
“Many of these early-stage companies are offering a glimpse into how the profession will evolve,” said Erik Asgeirsson, president and CEO of CPA.com.
Blockchain technology is slated to change the accounting profession for the better, making it more efficient, secure, and transparent. Gilded’s accounting and payment software unlock the possibilities of triple-entry accounting—one of the first blockchain tools that can be used by accounting professionals today. The support of the AICPA and CPA.com is a major boon to Gilded’s reach in the global accounting market.
“As part of this accelerator, Gilded will receive coaching, mentorship, insights, and access to the profession that most startups only dream about. We’re delighted for the opportunity and eager to share our vision with the accounting professionals who will help educate their clients about blockchain technology and digital assets.” Said Joey Ryan, our CFO, and in-house CPA.
