BTC Markets, the largest, most liquid Australian bitcoin exchange with 260,000 Australian customers trading more than AU$8 billion, today announced the appointment of Caroline Bowler as CEO. Interest is growing in the sector with the recent Reserve Bank of Australia announcement on their simulated trials of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

Caroline has a clear vision for BTC Markets, with a deep understanding of fintech and blockchain technology.”
Ms. Bowler is currently a Strategic Communications advisor with Blockchain APAC and an advisory board member with Tanggram Capital Pty Ltd. Prior to this role, Ms. Bowler was Head of Asia Pacific with Red Flag Consulting; founder of Bowlah PR, the first Fintech-focused PR Agency in Asia-Pacific; and held positions with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Ireland and Singapore. Caroline holds a Bachelor of Communications from Murdoch University, Perth Western Australia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies from Griffith College, Dublin Ireland.
