Diginex, a digital asset financial services and advisory company, today announced it has officially joined the Blockchain Alliance, a global coalition of companies and organizations with a common goal to make the blockchain ecosystem more secure, as well as to promote further development of the technology.
Co-founded by the Chamber of Digital Commerce and Coin Center in 2015 and led by Steptoe & Johnson LLP, the Blockchain Alliance provides a forum for engagement between industry and law enforcement and regulatory agencies, in order to help combat criminal activity on the blockchain.
It serves as a resource for law enforcement and regulatory agencies to benefit from the expertise of some of the brightest minds in the blockchain industry and brings together organizations from different backgrounds to encourage open dialogue about issues of concern to make blockchain technology more secure and to deter its use for unlawful purposes.
“This important global organisation fosters communication between blockchain-oriented businesses and government agencies to enact vital safeguards that will minimise risk within the industry. We are delighted to be the first firm in Asia to join this strong forum of experts, where we intend to be a key voice in driving dialogue between law enforcement, regulators and industry.”
– Diginex CEO, Richard Byworth
The Alliance has now grown to include over 100 industry and government agencies in 19 countries. Diginex is a key driver in a global network dedicated to creating a safer environment for blockchain growth.
“We welcome Diginex into our bourgeoning community of blockchain experts, where their impressive track-record and industry insight will support our work in Asia in making the blockchain ecosystem more secure through education and dialogue.”
– Jason Weinstein, Director of the Blockchain Alliance
