The management team of crypto exchange Bitpanda, today announced it has named a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Peter Grausgruber.
Grausgruber worked at the Austrian oil and gas company OMV for the last six years. Most recently, he was Head of Strategy for the company’s upstream division. Prior to this, he gained experience at PwC Austria, responsible for the consulting department, dealing with strategy and finance-related topics.
“The focus of my career is to help companies grow”, says Grausgruber, who got to know a lot of companies as an external advisor. “Now, I support Bitpanda in scaling their growth strategy. As CFO, I’m not only responsible for financial matters, but also for further establishing their professional structures and assisting with their ambitious expansion plan.”
Over the summer, Bitpanda held an Initial Exchange Offering for its native ecosystem token, BEST, as the company expanded its services globally.
In April, Bitpanda received a license to operate as a payment service provider in accordance with European legislation (PSD2) from the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA).
