The Rock Trading, a European based bitcoin, and cryptocurrency exchange, recently announced that the company has waived its long-standing €100,00 entry fee for new users to trade.
During the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018, The Rock saw an increased interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, driven more by speculative reasons.
This growth has had several consequences, which led the company to add an entry fee of €100,00 in February 2018, aimed at filtering newbie and spam registration requests.
“After almost two years we have reason to believe that the market has become more mature and aware of the risks and opportunities offered by this technology and so, we have, therefore, decided to remove the entry fee, while maintaining the invitation code’s system, through which users can participate in initiatives and events with, as rewards, a program of exclusive benefits that will be presented shortly.”

The exchange’s top five markets for trading volume are (in order): BTC/EUR, ETH/EUR, LTC/EUR, ETH/BTC, and ZEC/BTC.
The Rock Trading is one of the oldest exchange operating. Back in May 2013, it became a Ripple gateway, and an official XRP reseller.
