dfuse, a blockchain API company, today announced it has raised $3.5 million (USD) in an oversubscribed seed round led by Multicoin Capital, a thesis-driven crypto fund and Intel Capital. Also participating in the funding were BoxOne Ventures, Panache Ventures, and White Star Capital. The new funds will be used to expand its cross-blockchain technology platform and grow its engineering and customer success teams.
“Every day, we are blown away by the quality of blockchain applications being built on top of dfuse,” said Marc-Antoine Ross, co-founder, and CEO of dfuse. “With the support of Multicoin Capital and Intel Capital, we’re thrilled to bring this buttery-smooth dev experience to the most promising blockchain ecosystems. We’ve assembled a team of voracious learners that has built and delivered a powerful platform that is still only scratching the surface of its capabilities.”
dfuse provides a robust and reliable Web3 data stack, with GraphQL, WebSocket and REST APIs to build performant blockchain applications.
The company’s four flagship products, dfuse Stream, dfuse Lifecycle, dfuse Search and dfuse On Demand Networks make it easy for developers to build performant blockchain apps that deliver great user experiences.
- dfuse Stream delivers real-time updates reflecting the state of the blockchain.
- dfuse Lifecycle makes it easy to submit transactions to the blockchain and receive guaranteed irreversibility in a single call.
- dfuse Search enables developers to query the entire transaction history of the blockchain using a simple but powerful query language.
- dfuse On Demand Networks provides dedicated on-demand blockchain environments for dev, test or production, packed with the full suite of dfuse products, ready for any development team.
Out of the box, dfuse gives developers open-source libraries for quick integration, a powerful block explorer, 99.9% or higher uptime SLAs, and 24/7 support for the most demanding businesses. Developers can sign up and start immediately building on a free plan.
“dfuse equips developers with robust and reliable APIs to build modern, high-performance applications. Streaming data and search are two of the most powerful building blocks in modern applications. They are unlocking a massive, new design space,” said Kyle Samani, Managing Partner, Multicoin Capital. “The dfuse team has a proven track record of success in the space. We’re proud to back them and their company as they build out some of the most important components of the Web3 infrastructure.”
“Intel silicon technologies can help improve the security, scalability, and privacy of blockchain applications,” said Michael Reed, Director, Blockchain Program Office at Intel Corporation. “We look forward to working with dfuse to help more blockchain developers utilize and benefit from Intel technology.”
Founded by a team of serial tech entrepreneurs, Marc-Antoine Ross, Richard Reiner, Alexandre Bourget, and Mathieu Boulianne, with the support of startup foundry Diagram Ventures, dfuse is headquartered in Montreal, Canada. With extensive experience in developing and running high-performance technology solutions and blockchain businesses, the team has a singular focus on providing what developers need to build performant blockchain applications.
