Zilliqa (ZIL) launching new blockchain project incubation program

The incubation program is accepting applications until July 31 and will launch on October 1

Zilliqa, the high-throughput blockchain platform, has announced the launch of ZILHive, a new 12-week long incubation program designed to support projects building on the Zilliqa blockchain.

The incubation program is organized in collaboration with LongHash, a global blockchain incubator and supported by the Singapore government,

The incubation program was revealed yesterday, as Zilliqa celebrated its second anniversary since its initial launch in June 2017. The anniversary event saw approximately 215 attendees, consisting of ecosystem partners, regional industry leaders, and community members, and was hosted at the National Gallery of Singapore.

ZILHive Incubation

As an extension of the Zilliqa Ecosystem Grant Program, ZILHive desires to support entrepreneurs and developers from the grant’s Innovation Track to build decentralized applications (Dapps) on the Zilliqa platform with a greater technical tutorship, mentorship, marketing guidance, and funding opportunities.

Open to participants from all over the world, ZILHive is envisaged to provide a collaborative environment where five teams will aim to create a product that utilizes the Zilliqa platform’s native token, ZIL, as staking collateral.

Over the course of three months, teams will be expected to achieve three critical milestones that involve creating a minimum viable product (MVP), an Alpha program for user-based product feedback, and a Beta program with the Zilliqa community to kickstart the product’s use.

At the end of the incubation program, teams will pitch their finished product on Demo Day to venture capital firms, angel investors, and family offices for further funding opportunities. Moreover, projects will be guaranteed non-dilutive grant funding of USD $20,000 upon completion of the three-month incubation program.

Interested individuals and teams can apply for the ZILHive incubation program here. Successful applicants will be notified by August 30, 2019.
