CoinList, a trusted platform for running compliant token sales, today announced that as a follow up to its successful hackathon with 0x, the team has now announced CoinList Build Hackathon #2: NuCypher.
NuCypher builds privacy infrastructure for the decentralized web. They have a long track record of engaging developers through hackathons. Developers have already used NuCypher to securely share encrypted vehicle onboard diagnostic data and sensitive medical data.
NuCypher is putting up $25,000 in prizes, split equally across both tracks including $5,000 for first place.
Building for Unconditional Privacy
The NuCypher + CoinList Hackathon will begin on Monday, March 11th and is focused on “Building the Applications and Tools for Unconditional Privacy.” The hackathon will be split into two simultaneous tracks focused on applications and tooling.
- Track 1: Applications. Build DApps on top of NuCypher. Some ideas include a decentralized and encrypted Dropbox or a decentralized password manager.
- Track 2: Tooling. Make it easier for developers to use NuCypher. Some ideas include browser extensions or integrations with other decentralized projects like IPFS.

The panel of judges includes Robbie Bent (Ethereum Foundation), Stefano Bernardi (Aragon & Token Economy), Jake Brukhman (Coinfund), Richard Burton (Balance), Lasse Clausen (1kx Capital), Viktor Radchenko (TrustWallet), and Amy Sun (Sequoia Capital).
