Online alternative investment platform, Bnk ToThe Future has announced that premium users now have the ability to gain access to investment opportunities in the largest crypto companies before they become available on the secondary market, a feature scheduled to go live later in the year. This was revealed recently in an announcement posted on the company’s official website.
According to the announcement, this access is part of a number of perks now available to users who maintain a minimum balance of 10,000 BFT tokens in their BFT wallets or BnkToTheFuture accounts. Shedding more light on this, an excerpt from the announcement reads:
“These companies will soon be listed on our secondary market later this year and premium qualifying members get the opportunity to invest before they go live on our secondary market.”
Investment Implications for Premium Users
The implication of having pre-market access is that premium users will be able to stake their claim across a selection of crypto and fintech startups before they become available for large scale investment on the secondary market, which gives them a significant early mover advantage. Essentially, they will be able to cherry pick what they want and how much they want for any company available on the platform before secondary investment has a chance to modify or distort the market.
In what is likely intended to be a sweetener for these investors, Bnk To The Future also revealed that only companies that have attained “a certain level of success” will be able to get on their secondary market, which is still in its Beta phase. Currently, the only existing example of such a company is the BitFinex SPV, which is currently listed in ongoing secondary market beta trading.
Founded in 2010 by Fintech personality and blockchain expert Simon Dixon, BnkToTheFuture markets itself as a reputable global online investment platform focused on the junction between finance and emerging technologies.
