BitRun Hackathon, co-hosted and supported by BitMart Exchange, a premier global digital asset trading platform, was officially launched on October 26, 2018, in Changning, Shanghai. The competition brought together hundreds of blockchain enthusiasts across the country. A 48-hour crazy hackathon for blockchain enthusiasts and researchers has just begun.
Hackathon, the marathon for programming, was born in 1999. It is a technological innovation that was originated in the United States and quickly swept the world. Its essence is for a group of outstanding developers to get together and do what they want in the way they want it. The entire programming process posts almost no limits or directions. Thus it is called “the world’s coolest developer activity.”
A Hackathon For Real Practitioners
Hosted by BitRun, supported by BitMart and Nervos, the competition was packed and filled with coders who are enthusiastic and ready to show their algorithms.
This two-day hackathon has attracted lots of domestic talents to join, including students from top universities in China, such as Shanghai University of Technology, Zhejiang Gongshang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Central University of Finance and Economics, Zhejiang University and many other universities. They are ready to take the challenges and utilize their expertise to solve the flaws in centralized exchanges.
BitRun’s founder, Mengxiang Lin and BitMart’s Chief Technology Officer Vincent Gu delivered the opening speeches and warmly welcomed all the participants at the event. Following the speeches, participants were divided into different groups based on the topics they chose. Each group will only have 42 hours and 30 minutes to develop their project. The winning team will be selected by the judges coming from the blockchain industry, including blockchain technology experts, industrial executives and professional institutional investors.
