Opera, the internet browser announced today it has now released the first Labs version of its Opera Desktop browser (Mac, Linux or Windows) which lets users seamlessly interact with Ethereum Dapps and Web 3.0 without the need to install extensions or even set up a new wallet.
For users, this means they can now connect the desktop browser to an Opera Crypto Wallet on Android.
Every time a website or Dapp requires a transaction signed or messages, a prompt will appear on a user’s phone to confirm with a fingerprint. Wallet keys remain stored on the secure hardware of the mobile phone and are never transmitted.
Note: The Labs build will install on your system separately from your stable Opera browser.
Once installed, a user can go to a site such as https://www.airswap.io or https://www.cryptokitties.co to use the new functionality.
Opera first announced a built-in crypto wallet on its browser back in July, 2018.
