Metaps Plus, a Korean fintech company and a subsidiary of Metaps Group announced today it has signed an MOU with PetCraft for its Token Generation Event (TGE). This TGE will be the third presented by Metaps Plus and is expected to show synergies between the gaming and blockchain businesses of Metaps Plus.
The cooperation between PetCraft and Metaps Plus is expected to capture an important position in the Korean and Japanese game markets. The game is expected to be launched first in Korea, which will actively promote international cooperation for localized marketing and game distribution of blockchain games.
PetCraft will open its TGE website this month, and this will be followed with an international promotion.
PetCraft will issue its own cryptocurrency, and users can use the coin to buy and sell various characters in the game. There are various animal characters in the game, including the character in the movie Underdog. The ‘Underdog’ is a Korean animation, but the character is also used as a global game character, and it is getting attention as an international character. Underdog will be screened in the second half of this year. It will also be sold as a game item at the blockchain item exchange, which will be launched on Metaps Plus.
Metaps Plus CEO Seungyeon Kim said “Although there is no clear use case for the blockchain technology, I think the most likely area is in the game market. As in the mobile ecosystem, the next Dapp innovation will happen in the game and PetCraft is a high-potential project.”
With headquarters in Japan and branches in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, and the United States, Metaps Plus is a blockchain development company and also issues their own cryptocurrency, the ‘PlusCoin’, has established a cryptocurrency exchange, CoinRoom, and also conducts consulting for TGEs.
