Cryptocurrency wallet Eidoo has announced this week that users of the digital wallet are now able to buy, use and store bitcoin (BTC) via both the mobile and desktop version. The addition of the leading cryptocurrency to Eidoo’s wallet paves the way for broader services and appeal.
The Eidoo app has been downloaded over 400,000 times and provides valuable add-on services, such as access to its ICO Engine that allows people to invest in curated Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) directly within the app. The Eidoo desktop version and mobile apps available on Android and iOS can be used to manage ethereum ERC20 and ERC223 tokens, EDO tokens, and now bitcoin.
The enhancement in service by adding bitcoin follows a series of successful developments for Eidoo. Back in April, the company received a coveted anti-money laundering license (VQF) from Swiss financial authorities. In the pipeline, Eidoo plans to integrate a debit card feature and more, all soon to be announced.
“We’re delighted to introduce bitcoin as one of the cryptocurrencies that can be stored and used across our mobile and desktop wallet. Eidoo is quickly building out its services that were set out in its initial whitepaper before raising $27 million via its own ICO. We are extremely proud of the tremendously positive reactions to the app. The multicurrency wallet is a clear hit as it offers a safe way to store and manage crypto assets. The recent VQF license from Swiss authorities equally puts us in a great position to develop further products all available within one easy environment. We are very much looking forward to sharing updates in the near future.”
