SatoshiLabs, creators of the popular Trezor brand of hardware wallets has announced today that its newest model, the Trezor Model T is now back in stock and available for next day shipping. The Model T takes on the legacy of the original Trezor One. It further enhancing security, intuitiveness, and ease-of-use over the first generation model.
The evolved hardware wallet model also features a new operating system, running the all-fresh Trezor Core. The new OS enables faster feature development, as well as easier coin-support.
The Model T features a touchscreen, giving users an intuitive and convenient interface to verify and approve all actions. In the Model T, the PIN is entered exclusively on the device touchscreen, through a randomized keypad. The recovery process also utilizes the display, allowing you to input your recovery seed using the T9-like keyboard. The passphrase is entered in a similar way like the recovery, thus making sure no information is shared with the computer. Further, the communication between the TREZOR and the host computer is disabled until the correct PIN is entered, adding another layer of isolation for your hardware wallet.
The Model T runs on a faster processor and even has micro SD card slot for data encryption or offline transaction signing (coming soon). The Model T is also future-ready with USB-C connector, allowing users to connect it on-the-go seamlessly.
The hardware wallet supports over 500 coins and tokens and also can serve as a user’s U2F hardware token.
