The team of Romania based bitcoin exchange BTCxChange announced this week they will be closing down the platform on May 1st, 2018. With their latest banking relationship discontinued in late January, the company no longer could process BTC to RON or EUR transfers for users and decided not to seek another bank.
Since then, operations have been halted from the 1st of February, but users still could store their bitcoin on the exchange wallet. Now users will have until May 1st to withdraw all balances.
BTCxChange was one of the first to provide users direct access to token sales right from an exchange account. Also last year, BTCxChange had set up another interesting feature for automatic BTC to fiat conversion and bank transfers in order to make their service as user-friendly as possible.
Started in 2014, BTCxChange became the first bitcoin exchange in Romania offering a quick and safe way to purchase and sell bitcoins on the local market.
