CasinoCoin (CSC), the open source, peer-to-peer cryptocurrency designed specifically for the regulated online gambling industry today announced the release of its first mobile wallet, available for Android users to download from the Google Play store. The iOS version is next to be released.
The app launch comes after CasinoCoin recently upgraded to a new blockchain, now based on a modified version of the Ripple code. The new CSC blockchain features industry-leading transaction speed, capable of up to 1,000 transactions per second, and average confirmation time of 3–5 seconds.
Mobile use within the iGaming industry continues to grow steadily, and H2 Gambling Capital estimates that mobile will account for 43.2% of iGaming gross win by 2020. The CSC mobile wallet will help gamers get accustomed to the CasinoCoin interface, via an easy onboarding process, accessible within a familiar environment.
John Caldwell, Director of Advocacy for the CasinoCoin Foundation, said:
“Releasing the new CasinoCoin mobile wallet is an important step for us. From the start, we have wanted to create a product that adds value, and easily integrates the use of crypto and blockchain into the online gambling industry.”
“Our mobile wallet will allow players that want on-the-go access to their coins to enjoy the same functionality on their mobile device, as we offer on our desktop wallet. Users will also be able to export and import their private keys on the mobile app, which is an important step in securing their coins.”
The technology upgrade created the opportunity for CSC to increase the liquidity of the coin from 40 million to 40 billion and significantly increased the network speed and stability to optimize usability within the regulated gaming industry.
