COINUT, a Singapore bitcoin exchange that shut down last year for two months to redevelop and relaunch today announced the launch of new iOS and Android mobile apps to allow users to trade cryptocurrencies within an improved interface.
The company, which was originally launched in 2013 and is backed by Boost VC and NUS Enterprise, was founded by Xinxi Wang, an expert in computer science and cryptocurrencies and a founding member of the Litecoin Foundation.
“From day one, our philosophy has been to provide greater accessibility for people looking to trade cryptocurrencies,” said COINUT Founder, Xinxi, Wang. “Whether you are new to cryptocurrency and want to buy coins like litecoin, bitcoin or ethereum for the first time, or a more advanced trader looking to capitalize on the market, our app makes it possible to do so in an easy, convenient and safe way.”
Features of the COINUT app include:
- A matching engine that can handle millions of orders per second.
- All cryptocurrencies are stored offline. Withdrawals are checked and processed semi-manually.
- First in first out order execution. All traders see the same order books.
The app will soon be adding the ability to trade binary options as the team works to integrate the entire suite of COINUT features into their mobile experience. COINUT reports having over 250,000 users.
As noted above, since its initial launch, COINUT has undergone several notable developments, including expanding its suite of available cryptocurrencies, enabling spot trading, and the acceptance of USD.
