KeepKey, the cryptocurrency hardware wallet has announced that ER20 support is coming to the wallet early in 2018. The US-based company was acquired by ShapeShift last summer for an undisclosed amount, with the KeepKey brand and product line remaining constant.
The first tokens to be supported include SALT, Aragon, Augur, BAT, Civic, EOS, Golem, Gnosis, OmiseGo, District 0x and FunFair. KeepKey stated that numerous more crypto assets will be added throughout the year.
Users of KeepKey will not require them to integrate hardware wallets with a third-party application in order to utilize ERC20 token support; it will be native to the KeepKey device and application.
The KeepKey team said:
“We have had strong and healthy growth in product demand in 2017. Our development team is expanding constantly, allowing us to further advance token, coin, and feature support in the upcoming year. However, as a matter of policy, we will only announce future support and features that are nearest and fall within 60 days of release to our customers.”
