AlphaPoint, a financial technology company providing infrastructure for digital asset trading networks today announced the release of AlphaPoint TrustedVM, a trusted virtual machine enabled by Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX) technology. This latest release of the AlphaPoint Asset Digitization solution with AlphaPoint TrustedVM enables any set or subset of blockchain data, including smart contracts, to remain fully confidential from intermediaries and network participants, significantly enhancing the privacy and security of the AlphaPoint Distributed Ledger Platform.
Rick Echevarria, Intel VP, Software and Services Group and GM, Platforms Security Division said:
“Our collaboration with AlphaPoint aims to deliver enterprise-ready blockchain solutions to the financial services community. AlphaPoint is expanding blockchain use cases to include illiquid assets; art, collectibles and real estate, and use of Intel SGX will help increase the security and privacy of those transactions.”
Enterprise-ready Blockchain Platform
In collaboration with Intel, AlphaPoint’s solution utilizes the security and privacy capabilities of Intel SGX, allowing customers to benefit from key technology and business advantages including:
- Faster time to market – Quickly develop and deploy blockchain applications with proven technology.
- Hardware-enforced privacy and secure consensus – Execution and validation inside the TrustedVM, ensuring data is not visable to any unwanted parties.
- Lower and predictable costs – With linear scalablity, this technology improves total cost of ownership (TOC) and operational efficiencies.
- Simplified development – Confidential smart contracts and applications may be written in TypeScript and JavaScript, instead of highly specialized languages.
Igor Telyatnikov, President and COO of AlphaPoint commented on the parntership:
“With this upgraded solution, we are enabling rapid implementation of blockchain technology into production within months instead of years. Our financial services customers want the benefits of distributed ledger technology without the security and privacy limitations of existing blockchain solutions. Using our technology with Intel’s security solutions enable customers to immediately deploy and manage secure blockchain applications.”
