BTC.com announced today it has partnered with US-based global digital asset exchange Kraken, leveraging its Kraken Direct service to allow users to quickly and easily purchase bitcoin directly from the BTC.com wallet.
Kraken Direct currently supports 49 US states, funding bitcoin purchases through ACH bank transfer. BTC.com plans to expand bitcoin purchasing capabilities beyond the United States in the coming weeks.
Users simply have to select “Buy Bitcoins” on the app menu sidebar, then select region (at this time, only users in the USA are able to buy bitcoin), and then select a purchase method (at this time, only Glidera shows as an option), which supports ACH transfers and can take from 1-4 days.
Gildera was acquired by Kraken last December for an undisclosed amount. Gildera was to be re-branded as Kraken Direct, but it looks as if the full changeover has yet to finalize.
